I am the third generation of winemakers.
My grandfather on my father’s side, Eugène Thiébault, brought me in the vineyards when I was very young. He shared with me his attachment to a meticulous and careful work and taught me how to respect the vine, such a generous plant.
My grandfather on my mother’s side, André Lemaire who remarried a Countess, passed on to us the landowning heritage. I succeeded my father Jean-Claude Thiébault who also provided me many things by confiding me little by little all the secrets of the vineyard.
Settled since 1972 in Montgenost (Marne), I started selling my production in 1982.
The three hectares 70 acres of vineyards of the property are located in four Champagne town: Montgenost, Villenauxe-La-Grande, Vertus and Le Mesnil sur Oger.
My parents and grandparents passed me on essential values such as the respect of land, patience, enthusiasm, the taste for the daily effort. These values allowed me to succeed differnt steps from the cutting of the vine shoots to the production of grapes and then to a wine of an excellent quality.
My two daughters, Marylène and Pauline don’t want to follow my professional path. My son Mehdy will be the 4th generation on the Champagne Thiebault path. He has come with me into the vine world since he is a child and is fascinated by this environment and wants to make career as a winemaker.
Our vineyard is shared out among four Champagne towns: Montgenost, Villenauxe-La-Grande, Vertus and Le Mesnil sur Oger.
